- Trvanie: 8 Dní (cca.)
- Poloha: Gällivare

The white wide open spaces stretch out in the west close to the border of Norway. In the east the massive Kebnekaise Mountains rise against the deep blue sky.
We travel with our dog teams and enjoys the feeling of living in nature with the huskies.
A life only depending on the weather goods and when we need to eat and sleep. We will spend the nights both in comfortable cabins and mountain tents.
Welcome to join an adventure and enjoy the silence and peacefulness of the mountains of Lapland mixed with the adrenaline rush of travelling behind a dogsled.
Day 1 Arrival to Saltoluokta Mountain Station
The bus/transfer stops in Kebnats. This is as far as you can get with car. From here we get a ride in sleds behind a snowmobile over the ice of the Lule River. Check-in at the Mountain Station. Here you have the possibility to take a hot sauna or shorter snowshoe walks along the trails. We say hello to the huskies and eat a nice dinner in the cosy restaurant.
Day 2 First day on the dogsleds
The morning starts by the fireplace in the restaurant with a delicious breakfast buffet with home baked bread directly from the oven. After breakfast we pack everything we need for the week in our sleds and you get instructions in how to drive and handle your team of huskies. Together we harness the dogs and put them in front of the sleds and soon the teams are ready for take off.
We cross the the river Stora Luleälven with the huskies and go west towards Stora Sjöfallet and today’s goal are the Teusajaure cabins.
We take care of and feed our faithful soft coated friends, cook dinner and enjoy the silence and peacefulness that you only get in the mountains close to the stars.
Day 3 Sälka mountain huts
From Teusajaure we will follow the King’s Trail north towards the Kaitum valley. First we will help the dogs by kicking and running up a long heavy uphill before we can glide down towards the valley. From there our trip goes north along the King’s Trail to the mountain huts of Sälka where we will spend the night.
For those who like we can enjoy the sauna in Sälka.
Day 4 Kebnekaise Mountain Station
Today we sledding southeast through Singivagge. A narrow and mighty valley that offers magnificence in good weather but hard winds in bad weather.
Our goal for the day is Kebnekaise Mountain Station by the foot of Swedens highest mountain top.
We cook our own dinner and enjoy having electricity, showers and sauna. A bit of civilization in the middle of the mountains.
Day 5 The mountain plateaus south of Nikkaluokta
After breakfast we head our dog teams east and leave Kebnekaise behind us.
We will pass Nikkaloukta and find a nice place to set our camp of tents somewhere on the plateau south of Nikkaluokta. We will sleep two and two in the storm safe and comfortable mountain tents.
Like all the other days before everybody helps out with all of the daily shores..
Day 6 Sjaunja Nature Reserve and the Kaitum River
Today we go south. In east the landscape is open and flat. In the west we see the high mountains rising and in good weather is the nature scenery here astounding.
At the end of the day we steer our dogs down to the Kaitum River and somewhere there we will find a nice spot in protective terrain to set our tent camp.
Day 7 Forests, frozen lakes and rivers
We start with our husky teams by Kaitumriver and travel south through the low rolling landscape of Sjaunja Nature Reserve. We will see marsh areas, small lakes, birch forests and also some spruce and pine trees later on.
In the end we come down to the Great Lule River that we follow westwards all the way to Saltoluokta Mountain Station where we our adventure started.
In Saltoluokta we have all the conveniences of showers, sauna and dinner.
Day 8 Departure day
We eat breakfast together and say good bye to the dogs before we leave from Saltoluokta.
